History

By 1918, McNicholas had abandoned the horse and wagon for the increased efficiency of the internal combustion engine.

Trucking has been in our family for over 100 years. While Fleming NationaLease may be relatively new to the area, our family started in the business four generations ago.

It all started in 1903 when J.V. McNicholas bought a horse and wagon and started a transportation company - McNicholas General Cartage and Storage in Youngstown, Ohio. In the years since, the industry has grown along with our family.

McNicholas General Cartage and Storage became the foundation for a new generation of family businesses. AIM NationaLease, Carney-McNicholas Inc., Falcon Transport, and Comprehensive Logistics all grew from our family's experience in the transportation industry and continue to thrive.

Fleming NationaLease, an affiliate of AIM NationaLease of Girard, Ohio, is the most recent family business to come from the McNicholas General Cartage and Storage family tree. We draw on over 100 years of experience to give our customers the highest quality experience and service.
